Thontan Rodphai · from Ubon Ratchathani · tattooing since 2008
Tom has been tattooing since 2008. Before that he painted temples part-time while studying — that is where he found both his eye for Thai drawing and the fact that he wanted to make art for a living.
He got tattooed, thought "I think I can do this", and the artist who did it — Wit — became his first mentor. They are still friends.
He opened 9 House in an old Lanna-style timber house on Loi Kroh, and did roughly forty percent of the rebuild with his own hands.
